Had a wonderful time yesterday @nomadbar with our friends in @darkstarlings and @ghoulsinthebasement for a terrific matinee show. So glad to be part of the music scene that we owe a lot to for the inspiration, the motivation, and the support. Big thanks to @brandonbennettcrowe for running sound and being an overall wonderful human being and to @beardmastergeneral for helping give us and so many bands a platform. Also, big shoutout to @kalebasplund and @karaokeunderground for always bringing the fun. Be sure to check out Kaleb’s band @finfinband at their next show! It’s hard to put into words the gratitude we feel that we get to do this, and we’re looking forward to playing with more bands and seeing more shows. Now that March Madness is over, it’s time to play the gaaaaaame. Too bad the only game we know how to play is ROCK…paper, scissors. But mostly ROCK. Big thanks to @wyethmiller of the excellent @ghoulsinthebasement for whipping up this flyer for a killer FREE show at @nomadbar this Saturday. We’ll also be joined by the mystical @darkstarlings so please join us where you’ll be among friends and flautas. That’s right. You’ll get to enjoy those delicious birria egg rolls courtesy of @sun_city_flauta who always bring the tasty. Music starts at 4 pm, and we close things out at 6 pm. Another great rock show in the books. Big thanks again to @foreachloopmusic for the invite. They’re a force to be reckoned with for sure. Each song comes crashing in with a powerful statement that they deliver with passion and precision. @sharedwallsband are incredible and are essentially controlled chaos beautifully articulated. It was fun opening the show and then getting to enjoy the rest of the evening of what the other two bands delivered. Big thanks to @hitwatx for always being what Austin needs (and @baddburgers for coming through with the tastiness). Pretty epic looking, isn’t it? Well, @comeandtakeitlive is a pretty damn epic venue, and we want to thank them for opening their doors to us. Just as important though is how epic a photographer @primecontrast is. She really puts her heart and soul into every photo. There’s much more we’ll be showing from her, but this one sums up how big time it all felt Wednesday night. A million thank yous to @ghoulsinthebasement for always being gracious with their shows (and friendship). @kingbunnyatx of course is the most fantabulous band around says us. And of course the mighty @thebottomlessband put an exclamation point (more like 3) on the whole evening. We’ve got a great show tomorrow night at the venerable @hitwatx opening for some epic bands in the form of @foreachloopmusic and @sharedwallsband, both of whom are epic. The theme is epic. Get it?
