It’s hard to believe it’s been two years to the day since my entire life’s perspective changed forever. Up until that point, I had lived in a delusion of relative safety. It’s almost impossible to explain just how quickly my entire world view collapsed, and I was forced to face the truth of the world we really live in. My dad always advised me to never interact with the law. He knew…Never trust a system that funds and commits gėnöcıde. A system that would protect war criminals while beating and arresting peaceful protestors. Never trust the police that stand silent while injustice and cruelty is being committed against your fellow human. I pleaded with humans in uniform to stop their violent assaults and they ignored me. I begged and screamed for help for injured protestors, and they ignored me. They took pleasure in causing pain. It’s in moments like these you can see clearly the violent system in place to keep us all under the empires thumb. The cruelty was beyond anything I could have imagined happening here in the US. They tried to silence each one of us, but they failed.
