Trio Asesino’s debut album is out today! A few years back I was fascinated with exploring the idea of an instrumental trio, minimalism, interpretation, and the intersection of jazz, funk, cumbia, library music and film scores. Recorded some material that sat around until @hermanosgutierrez invited me to open their US tour in 2025 and the trio seemed like the perfect fit and launching pad for it. Playing with @joshysoul, @jaymumfordmusic (and sometimes @terin_moswen_ector) has been incredibly inspiring and I’m thrilled you get to hear the result. Shoutout to @jms4, @erichagstromdrums, @keyonharrold, @laharpista, @fortemaestro, @runpms, @roch.mf at @hotelelganzo for their contributions as well.
