affirmations for my disabled baddie friends — this #longcovidawareness month i wanted to celebrate the truths that living with this 💩 has taught me — i have LC but so many people all over the world deal with this and a slew of other chronic and dynamic conditions that will leave a pal wondering, is this all in my head? bc the amount of people who think you can positively think and diet your way out of a health condition be gaslighting the chronically ill community on the daily (don’t get me wrong those things help, but it’s like giving someone a cup of water when they need a firehose) today i choose to be visible despite my condition being invisible, misunderstood, and regarded as fiction by about half our nation atm. the sad truth is that most people when presented with the ideology of eugenics would agree with it — but i personally don’t feel like that’s loving your neighbor as you’d love yourself so if there’s someone in your life that you haven’t heard from in a while, check in on them. they may be dealing with something you couldn’t imagine! be a villager in your village, bring soup to your friends, and most importantly BE KIND bc you have no idea what battles people are facing #chronicillness #longcovid #bekind

Yall have been sending me the sweetest little notes on this year’s #tinydeskcontest entry 💙 I can’t stress enough how much I feel this song is equally shared between collaborators @jondeasonkeyz and @muehtation — they created this bed and safe place to land which is why this song feels so tender. I feel lucky to have caught this with them since they’re so busy and some of the best in the biz. The piano Deas is playing was the piano I played Better on, she’s a beautiful Steinway that I maintain a long distance relationship with via @sonicranch This space is musical home for me, and I don’t take that lightly.
