Happy birthday Lu!! @lucinda_williams Happy birthday to the one and only Lucinda Williams. @lucinda_williams was born January 26 in Lake Charles LA, 1953. One of the most acclaimed singer/songwriters of the past 30 years, Williams is best known for her classic 1998 album “Car Wheels On A Gravel Road.” With three Grammy awards and countless accolades including Time’s Songwriter of the Year in 2001, Williams is one of music’s most revered artists for her raw, emotional storytelling in songs powered by blues, country and rock. Williams has appeared on “Austin City Limits” five times, in 1990, 1992 (as part of a songwriters special), 1999, 2008 and in 2021 she was inducted into the ACL Hall of Fame. My new video course is out! It’s a deep dive into three of my original instrumental tunes….Flim Flam, Boots Likes To Boogie, and Lucy G. Each song is a 40 minute lesson that features a performance with the original album backing track.That performance is fully tabbed and notated.
