Sad because it’s our last Monday at @thesaxonpub for several months. Happy because it’s gonna be a really really fun night! Aside from the great band, we have two former Austin residents joining as our guests! One of my best friends from home, @stecarguitar lands from Ireland at 4pm and will race to the Saxon for his first show in Austin for many many years! ALSO, one of my favorite artists, and all-around great guy @r.o.shapiro will be joining us for some songs. It’s gonna be a party. Don’t miss it! 6pm sharp 🍻

On April 29th from 7pm - 8.30pm, we’re welcoming Carlow musician Pat Byrne for an intimate (and free) seisiún in Henry’s Corner, The Taproom Extension. Now an Austinite, Pat took the US by storm with breakout performances at the 30A Festival, SXSW, Kerrville Folk Festival and the Americana Festival. Being immersed in the Texas music scene, his sophomore US release, Into the Light, has an edgier feel, underscoring both emotional depth and greater confidence, while blending new influences with his rich Irish heritage. Pat’s Northeast Tour includes 23 stops, so if you’re not based in NY - be sure to check out his other gigs. As always, bookings are available, and walk-ins are welcome.
